Challenge
DEPARTURES assigned the design of its primary revenue source, the online media kit to Transition Networks, known for branding luxury icons and influencing target markets through innovative digital marketing. Its challenges for the ’07 and ’08 media kits were to establish the strong brand asset with editorial value and multi-level advertising solutions.

The DEPARTURES online media kit was successfully launched as the brand’s primary business and communications tools for its worldwide sales offices. The simple and elegant user-interface inspired media buys with DEPARTURES to reach its market, the Platinum Card® and Centurion® members. The publication sold out its advertising space for two consecutive years.
Additionally, Transition Networks submitted an innovative strategic plan in 2008 to monetize DEPARTURES.com as a Web 2.0 media enterprise. Transition Networks outlined a new generation of DEPARTURES to transform its loyal readers into an interactive community. TN utilized the biggest trends in digital technology complete with entirely new sources of revenues for DEPARTURES and its advertisers.
